www.craigslist.org (use extreme common sense as rental scams happen in this space, never send money to anyone without first seeing the place. Can be a good idea to run the address through a site like Zillow to make sure it isn’t actually for sale.)
Contact property management companies to find available listings
Enlist a local realtor to help you find a rental
You might also find a furnished rental through www.FurnishedFinders.com (there’s a fee to use this site)
If you are a Facebook user, there may be a group dedicated to Santa Fe rentals and you can also use the FB marketplace to search.
Search the classifieds in the Santa Fe New Mexican (yep, go old school)
Rent an Airbnb or VRBO for a few months to search from the ground (yes, it can take that long to find suitable housing in Santa Fe)
As an alternative to Airbnb, you may consider www.trustedhousesitters.com (there’s a fee to use this site but you could land in SF and caretake someone’s pets in exchange for housing)

Hit up the bulletin board at the La Montanita Co-op
Santa Fe is a very word-of-mouth kind of place. It helps to be here and work your network. Rentals can get snatched up pretty quickly, so being on the ground will likely be your best bet.
Drive arounds neighborhoods you like and look for “For Rent” signs
If you are willing to widen your search area, you may find housing in greater Santa Fe County that is still fairly accessible to campus. Areas to search could include Highway 14, 285 corridor, Lamy, Pojoaque, Tesuque, Galisteo. The Albuquerque Metro Area (including Rio Rancho) is within an hour drive to campus as well.
In all things, do your due diligence to make sure your rental listing is legitimate. And never, ever send money without seeing the rental yourself unless you have an agent you trust.
